This proceedings contains papers presented and
position statements submitted to the \fBTCL/TK Workshop\fP
held at U.C. Berkeley in June 1993.
Over 50 position statements were submitted, from which the
program committee selected 17 for presentation at the Workshop.
.lp
This workshop was the first gathering of implementors and users
of the \fITool Command Language\fP (Tcl) and \fITcl Toolkit\fP (Tk).
The submissions to the program committee covered
a broad range of topics including language extensions, toolkit
extensions, development tools, and applications.
The breadth and quality of the submissions was truly impressive.
The task of selecting presentations was exceedingly difficult.
.lp
In addition to presentations, the workshop reserved time for
discussions on important issues to the Tcl/Tk community
including program distribution and management, object constructs,
event propagation and bindings, security, commercialization, and
portability.
The workshop also had a presentation from John Ousterhout who
is the creator and father of Tcl/Tk.
.lp
I want to thank the people who handled the details required
to organize and put on this workshop.
Specific thanks go to Michelle Mattera, Bob Miller,
Claire Mosher, and Elisa Kwon.
We are all appreciative of their contributions.
